Element Superior Integra RCA Analogue Interconnect
Element Superior Integra RCA Analogue Interconnect
Our original Element Integra, which remains in the range, has won numerous awards internationally and remains one of our most successful products. The Element Superior is perhaps best thought of as our ‘turbo-charged’ version, building on the strengths of the original without losing the essential balance which let it work so well in many different systems.
A ‘next generation’ interconnect with a neutral, dynamic sound, providing an excellent base for further system upgrades.
To improve the performance, we began by increasing the OCC copper content of the cable by over 20% compared to the Element. An improved Polyethylene dielectric with lower dielectric constant offers improved bandwidth, and increasing the diameter of the cable improves and stabilises the cable’s impedance characteristic.
Finished in an attractive pearl grey, it’s the first cable to benefit from our new calibrated shield crimping on the Integra non-magnetic RCA plug – which offers a level of consistency of termination and reliability unheard of at this price level. The Element Superior is the only fully 100% calibrated analogue interconnect on the market!
The low mass Integra connector features a solder-free, cold-weld connection, all optimised to create a coherent, continuous signal path with maximum resistance to RFI (Radio Frequency Interference) which can raise noise levels in a poorly shielded cable.
The result is a cable with a large three dimensional soundstage which combines clean dynamic bass with a sophisticated portrayal of fine detail, without the artificial glare or brightness which affects many budget cables.
The Element range includes other analogue termination options, complementary USB & digital interconnects and speaker cables.
Integra RCA Plug
The Integra is a low-mass, non-compression, constant impedance, self-cleaning, solder-free construction RCA plug.
OCC Copper
(OCC) Ohno Continuous Casting copper was developed based on research that sound quality was related to the quality of copper and the processing used during cable manufacture.
PEF (Polyethylene)
PEF (Foamed Polyethylene). The foaming process uses a blowing agent, of which there are two types. Atlas use the gas-foamed method which creates a more inert, consistent and higher quality product.
Co-ax
Central conductor (signal path) surrounded by dielectric material encased within a circular conducting screen which acts as the signal return path.
